In the early 1980's, in an effort to push their failing Robotech Defender's line of model kits, Revell release the Robotech Robolinks. The Robolinks were based on a "building block" concept, where a child could actually build bigger robots and ships with more 'Links. The actual "Link" can be seen above, except this on has armor on it. They are about two inches tall and made of metal and pastic. I believe the line only lasted one year, and I will post pictures of the ones I can get a hold of.

I recently found a Robotech Power Changer toy. It is not a model kit, but a remote control car/robot.

Force 20
The Force 20 comes with enough accessories to make either a jet plane, or a armoured warrior. The warrior is pretty neat, he has three guns, a communications backpack, a shield and boots. The plane is pretty spiffy as well, the canopy raises, and it has free spinning wheels.

Force 21
A driller made from a single RoboLink.

Force 22
The Force 22 is a single Robolink that can be made into a race car or a robot warrior. The race car resembles a formula one car, with laser blasters on the front. The robot warrior has a large gun on one shoulder, a missle battery on the other and a large dual gun blaster on his back.

Force 41
Force 41 is the only multiple-Link RoboLink toy I have. Once you get a good handful of these guys, their is a ton of things you can build with it. A few things you can build with this one is a Drill Tank, a Missle Tank, a Robot, and another robot with skinny legs. As you can see in the pictures, this toy also comes with two silver "pilots" who have no articulation. Their are also all sorts of extras that come with it, including a communications disk, a large gun, missle launchers, and a drill cone.
